Completion Tools
BJ Services offers a complete line of completion tools ranging from stand-alone production packers to high-rate/high-pressure gravel/frac-pack and multi-zone horizontal completion systems. BJ maintains an aggressive development agenda for new downhole tools.

All tool components are designed for maximum erosion resistance, allowing rates up to 35 bbls/min (at proppant volumes up to 400,000 lbs) and all are 10,000 psi differentially rated. Bonded seals are used at all critical points.

An example of BJ's high-quality completion tools is the In-String Hydraulic Production Packer. It is a high-pressure hydraulic-set production packer, ideally suited for well completions where it is desired to set the packer after the well has been flanged up. It is also used in deviated holes, gas lift installations, and other completions where a mechanical-set packer is not suitable.

BJ Services provides various types of valves, such as the K Connector Valve. The valve is used for converting a double-grip, mechanical set production packer into a retrievable packer-type bridge plug by providing a means of sealing the tubing ID to differential pressures from above and below. The BJ K Running Tool is disconnected from the bridge plug after setting and closing the valve.

To ensure "best-in-class" equipment and service, BJ maintains an extensive R&D program focused on providing innovative and cost-effective solutions tailored to today's completion environments. To facilitate this, BJ has a new multi-million dollar engineering & test facility located in Houston, Texas. This facility provides testing capabilities for simulated well conditions (up to 30,000 psi gas at 1,000 degree Fahrenheit temperature). The test facility, in conjunction with our ISO-9001 certified manufacturing and field services, enables BJ to design, test and build products specifically tailored to our clients' needs.
