BJ understands that the integrity of a pipeline is of utmost importance to pipeline operators. The pipeline must operate safely and efficiently at all times, under all conditions. Regardless of how well pipelines are designed and protected, once in place they are subjected to uncontrollable factors including: mechanical damage, third party damage, environmental abuse, metal loss, subsidence, frost heave and slope instability. In order to ensure the integrity of the pipeline, operators must be able to detect, assess and monitor pipeline defects and forces that act upon the pipeline.
Defect Assessment
BJ evaluates, categorizes, verifies and prioritizes defects found by the in-line inspection. We analyze the defects in order to determine their effect on the pipeline’s ability to operate at the maximum allowable operating pressure. |
