In 1996, BJ Pipeline Inspection Services introduced VECTRA, a new generation of high-resolution MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) pipeline inspection tools. VECTRA tools combine several unique technologies: gas bypass with active in-line speed control, a tri-axial sensor configuration and the same inertial navigation system as found in the GEOPIG tool. VECTRA is the most advanced metal loss inspection tool available, consistently providing the industry’s most accurate and reliable length, width and depth measurements of defects.
In 2006, BJ introduced the BJ PROFILE Caliper tool. This caliper tool provides a high level of accuracy at +/- 2mm and high levels of reliability by using a sensor which requires no mechanical link between the caliper arm itself and the measurement sensor on the inside of the tool body. This tool can be used either prior to an MFL run to provide bore confirmation or in post construction runs.
We appreciate that you want to ensure that an in-line inspection survey accurately locates defects in order to minimize verification dig costs. Time and time again, verification digs have confirmed that our in-line inspection tools can locate a pipeline defect or feature with unequalled accuracy. Anomalies detected by the GEOPIG and VECTRA tools can be located in the field with sub-meter accuracy from a known reference point.
In the true tradition of BJ Pipeline Inspection Services, we offer you efficient and cost-effective pipeline inspection services while providing unparalleled accuracy and quality of service. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, BJ Pipeline Inspection Services is available to work with you anywhere in the world. |
